SYNOPSIS

When Hollywood It Boy, Reid Alexander, arrives on location, his intentions are simple: film another blockbuster hit while enjoying his celebrity status to the fullest while doing so. His costar is a virtual unknown with whom he had blazing hot chemistry during her auitions. The universe is lining up nicely to grant whatever he wants, as usual, until he’s confronted with unexpected obstacles on location – like a bitter ex-girlfriend and a rival for the first girl to spark his genuine interest in years.

Emma Pierce just got her big break after more than a decade of filming commercials for grape juice, department stores and tampons, and more recently, bit parts in made-for-TV movies. Nailing the lead role in a wide-release film sent her agent, father and stepmother into raptures, and should have done the same for her. The Problem? Emma is experiencing a building desire to be normal, and starring in a silly, modernized adaptation of one of her favorite novels – opposite the very hot Reid Alexander – isn’t going to advance that aspiration.

Indie actor Graham Douglas isn’t overly picky when it comes to film roles. If it pays, he’ll do it. Besides, his friend Brooke Cameron snatched up the role of the bitchy hot girl and could use his help as a buffer, because her ex is the star. Graham has no problem keeping a handle on the situation, until he finds himself attracted to Reid’s costar, Emma, the girl Reid is pursuing full-throttle with his standard arsenal of charm, good looks and arrogance.

What a fabulous addicting and well written story this was!

The story is told in Reid and Emma’s pov…which I LOVED!! I always find that I am attracted to books with dual pov’s because I get to hear the voice of both main characters. I always end up more emotionally involved in the story line because my curiosity on how the other is feeling and consequent actions are satisfied.

Reid is an established actor in movies and a recognized pin up…(yep I had him pictured in my head lol)…with a very sleazy reputation. Emma is a 17 year old actress who has just landed her first big role (partly chosen by Reid in her audition), playing Lizbeth Bennett to Reids Will Darcy in a modern Pride and Prejudice movie set in a USA high school.

The majority of the book was set around the filming of the movie which I thought was great. It was different and the perfect setting for the “love – triangle” of Reid, Emma and Graham

Emma is a very lovable character, sweet, honest, endearing yet slightly naive.

Reid is the naughty, confident, yummy bad-boy yet has a vulnerability stemming from his background and family environment.

Graham is a brooding, mature, silent but cool hottie who was a bit of a mystery to me ;0)

I don’t want to spoil the story but can I just say I was completely team Reid!! LOL ;0)
