I absolutely LOVED this story. It had me in tears of laughter, it broke my heart and it had me on the edge of my seat. What a brilliantly written piece of work…quality! It has everything from a fab plot, unexpected twists, suspense, lovable characters, hilarious dialogue and sweet romance. It is a heartbreaking and scary dark crime investigation which at times shocked me! I also have to say that this story is written in such a way that it seems bang up to date and I could not put it down!

All the characters are completely lovable. They all have their issues, trauma, heartbreak and I honestly loved them all, they were so well written, had such depth, and I felt everything they did in their journeys.

Austin seems to have it all, well he thinks so anyway, as does everyone around him. He is loaded, has a beautiful house, a job he loves and he’s marrying a beautiful woman; his best friend. His journey of self discovery plays out in the most unusual way and begins when he goes to a diner and meets a pierced redhead in bunny slippers….

Now the main character Austin owns this story, completely! He had me actually laughing out loud through most of this book, through his lack of filter, as in he has none, at all!! He is an amazing character, his sense of humour is pure class although he was using his one liners as a shield and at times it broke my heart. The story is a dark and gritty one but Austin prevented it from being too much so. Austin completely took a piece of my heart!

I loved Peter Rabbit too I just wanted to pick him out my kindle and cuddle him silly!! I struggled to figure him out and it took a while before he showed his true self. His life experiences masking who he really is. He was so busy looking after everyone else it made me want to cry!!

I can definitely recommend this book…..oh and bunny slippers!!!
