SLAMMED (Slammed #1) – by COLLEEN HOOVER

Just beautiful. I don’t know how else to describe this book.

I cried practically the whole way through it, I’m exhausted emotionally but despite that I enjoyed every minute of this book – if that makes sense.

I am not good at reviews, I just know how a book makes me feel and that’s what I base my opinion on.

With that in mind, this book is a definite 5 stars for evoking such emotion I am still crying while writing this and thinking back on it.

It wants you to get a sledgehammer and break through concrete. 
It wants you to grab a torch and burn through the metal and steel until you can reach through and grab it. 

Life wants you to grab all the organized, the alphabetized, the chronological,the sequenced. It wants you to mix it all together, 
stir it up,
blend it.” 

This book hooked me from page one and I could not move until I got to 100%. I just couldn’t leave Layken and Will and their families.

From the synopsis I didn’t think there would be enough romance for me is this book. How wrong was I?

I aslo loved the Slam Poetry reference and urge you to have a look at the reading of The Lake poem on the authors website, it’s amazing.
