The Marriage Bargain is a funny, romantic and very yummy read!! I got drawn in to Nick and Alexa’s story which was well written albeit slightly predictable, it kept me hooked. Especially as we get the voices of both characters, so we get and understand their feelings, fears and reasons behind their actions. We also get their intense passion!!!

The chemistry and sexual tension between Nick and Alexa was lush and I was rooting for them the whole way through to give into their feelings for each other.

Nick needs a wife. When his Uncle passed away he put a stipulation into his will that Nick would only receive his inheritance if he gets married. Nick is desperate for this money to fund his architectural vision. Problem is that there is no way Nick ever wants to get married as he comes from a broken love-less family which means he “loves” women but he refuses to fall “in love” with them never-mind having a family. His motto is “Never get attached”.

Alexa’s parents have serious money problems and will have to sell their family home. Alexa is determined to help them in any way she can. She figures all she needs is to find a rich man.

Alexa is friends with Nick’s sister. She grew up with Maggie and Nick and has had a crush on him since then. Maggie finds out about Alexa’s plan and sets Nick up to meet Alexa again as they can both get what they want without the hassle of finding someone to suit their respective plans. Seems too easy; Alexa and Nick get married, stay together for one year, Alexa gets the money to help her parents and Nick gets the money to fund his building plans….
