THOUGHTLESS (Thoughtless #1) – by S.C. Stephens

This story got me from the start. I loved it and couldn’t put it down! It had agood old love triangle but this one was not predictable!

Keira is a normal girl setting off with her boyfriend Denny to start a new life in Seattle and in comes our 3rd complication the super scrumptious Rockstar (and flatmate)… WITH issues; Kellan.

Keira falls for Kellan even though she loves Denny with all her heart.

Denny moves out for a while because of his job..stuff happens (yum!!)and ultimately Keira gets stuck in a situation where she has to decide between Kellan, her slightly “crazy” soulmate, who makes her feel alive or Denny who she truly loves and makes her feel safe.

This story is written in a way that makes it very REAL which means it’s a complete emotional roller coaster. I cried I laughed, I shouted in anger, I had butterflies in my tummy, I got frustrated, and I cried..oh did I already mention that I cried? Well, I cried ALOT!! And no matter how annoyed you get with Kellan I challenge you not to fall in complete love and lust with the infamous Kellan Kyle!

I loved this book, even though it did have me on the edge of my seat and grasping my chest at times.

Kiera was faced with an impossible choice and whilst there were times I could have throttled her yet I so sympathised with her as well. I would have hated to be in her situation. How do you choose between someone you love and your soul mate? What a decision!

What I loved about this book is you felt the angst – from start to finish this book grips you and doesn’t let go until the very last page. You feel like you can’t relax because something is always gripping you and sending you into that spiral of anticipation.

I couldn’t put this book down. I stayed up ’til the wee small hours and had to finish it. I was absolutely consumed with the story of Kiera, Kellan and Denny. I loved them all and I especially appreciated how the SC Stephens stayed true to her characters throughout. She never tried to sway us either way. How could you not love Denny and Kellan? As I said…what an impossible choice Kiera had to make.

My heart broke for Kellan as his story unfolded and you learnt more of why he acted the way he did. He was sensual, sensitive and vulnerable and every bit of that showed through his character. 

Whilst, I did get frustrated with Kiera a couple of times, I can totally understand her reasons for her actions and the decisions she made.

This book had me in its clutches from start to finish and these characters will stay with me for a long time to come
