THE ANGEL (Original Sinners #2) by TIFFANY REISZ

Our Review
Tiffany Reisz had me from the minute I started The Siren (book 1). I couldn’t get enough of this brilliant writer who made me feel and consequently question these feelings which were beyond my comfort zone and at times seemed highly irrational even for me. I downloaded all her other stories which sees some of the characters from the siren and they kept me going until I could get my eager hands on The Angel.
If you haven’t read this series yet, you must start at The Siren, however be aware that this series will question possible deep rooted beliefs and opinions in regard to the storyline, yet if you are able to bag these up and store away in the vanilla tub for later I highly recommend you read this series.
I loved The Siren, truly, but if at all possible, loved The Angel even more. The love and the passion. The questions, the acceptance and the explorations of pasts leading to the future self. The self-sacrifice and protection; the awareness of self. I was lost in The Angel. I am feeling lost now I have read the last page.
I think I felt almost every human emotion through the brilliance of Ms Reisz written words. She has an innate ability to bring her characters to life so that you immediately feel them and ‘see’ them; whether it is with love or hate; whether you want them or loathe them. I have to say though that whilst you are reading, these characters slowly creep under your skin, to find a permanent place in your heart as each layer is removed. We get up close and personal and are able to see the shades and texture of each, we get under their skin. These characters are complex; dark yet funny, damaged yet loyal; extremely strong and sexy yet vulnerable. Darkness resides in all her beautiful and human; therefore flawed characters.
The Angel is all about exposing secrets, understanding the why’s of the characters we started to love in The Siren and starting to love the characters we loathed because now we understand. The realisations hitting you like a punch to your gut, you feel them as the breath is knocked out of you. You get so deep; you explore memories that would give you nightmares envisioned so intensely.
To me The Angel is the beating heart of The Siren…and to say I cannot wait for The Prince, well that would be an understatement. This is a journey that is not only harrowing and thought provoking, it is beautiful and utterly consuming. It answered questions yet with the answers it raised even more.
I fell in illogical love with a Priest in The Siren; this love was re-affirmed and deepened in The Angel when I fell in love with the man that is
Synopsis

No safe word can protect the heart
Infamous erotica author and accomplished dominatrix Nora Sutherlin is doing something utterly out of character: hiding. While her longtime lover, Søren—whose fetishes, if exposed, would be his ruin—is under scrutiny pending a major promotion, Nora’s lying low and away from temptation in the lap of luxury.
Her host, the wealthy and uninhibited Griffin Fiske, is thrilled to have Nora stay at his country estate, especially once he meets her traveling companion. Young, inexperienced and angelically beautiful, Michael has become Nora’s protégé, and this summer with Griffin is going to be his training, where the hazing never ends.
But while her flesh is willing, Nora’s mind is wandering. To thoughts of Søren, her master, under investigation by a journalist with an ax to grind. And to another man from Nora’s past, whose hold on her is less bruising, but whose secrets are no less painful. It’s a summer that will prove the old adage: love hurts.
