The Malebox is BACK with a very special guest reviewer!

It has been a while, but The Malebox is back for a review and this time I have brought the enchanting Author Natalie Ward with me.

Now that I have a real life author reviewing with me, I thought I best do a serious and thought provoking review.

That was until the TotallyBooked girls gave me “Just Gotta Say” by Laura Kaye.

For those of you who have read this short story, you will understand my dilemma, for those of you who haven’t, get on and buy it.

If I didn’t know better, I’d think TB are doing this to me on purpose. (J&G: Who us? Never! *giggles*) So it was decision time for MB.

Do a serious review and impress Natalie with my wide and impressive knowledge of literature or stay old school…I opted for old school…please review again with me Natalie…!

It features Lucas, Noah, Jack and Callie who are roommates and the best of friends. It’s the everyday story of boy meets girl, guy meets guy, all guys like girl; girl likes all 3 guys and ends up in a gangbang. What a great concept. Laura Kaye, us male readers salute you!

Callie has always liked these 3 men and one night when she has some alone time she decides to try out a few recent sex shop purchases and stick on a movie.

All I will say is, I knew it!! Women do like porn, and when their partners are out they love nothing more than a bit of sex toy action whilst watching porn. Us red blooded men have always known this, but it is nice to actually see it in writing and have it confirmed.

If I am being honest, for me, the book could have stopped at the end of this scene and I would have been more than happy. But we’re then treated to the 3 boys coming home and discovering Callie in a compromising state of sexual pleasure. Oh what to do, I know, lets have a foursome…brilliant idea. The rest is history…

Although the story is short, there is an underlying romantic story running throughout, which I will not spoil.

I was hoping to impress Natalie with my extensive range of knowledge surrounding characterisation and visualisation, however we ended up discussing the magical and mysterious phenomenon known as the vagina and men’s eagerness to “claim it” as theirs.

It is not enough that we own your mind, body and soul, we need to know that that pussy is ours too damn it!

According to Natalie, us men own none of these things and you women just let us think we do. This may go some way to explaining how occasionally during playtime, we need to ask you to confirm that you know that it is ours too.

This is the magical pussy concept. We don’t do this over other things like credit cards or food; you don’t hear us say: “Tell me, say it, just say it, who does that chocolate bar belong to, it’s mine, say it.” This is all down to the magical pussy phenomenon.

Being male, I do understand this, but struggle to find its relevance in a group sex scenario. If my female partner was being taken by 3 guys at once, it is every man for himself and it’s not a place to start saying you can touch this but you can’t touch that; it would all get very complicated and I would definitely need some sort of briefing before I just dived in…

In closing, even though it is a very short read, it was enjoyable and entertaining…anyway, I am off to find Callie and ask her to marry me..
