SYNOPSIS

I finished this story a few days ago and I still can’t stop thinking about it. It had been a while since I read a paranormal and this is my first m/m paranormal.

Seriously it has everything if you enjoy this genre, we have a hot tattooed pierced wolf (Lukas Blacque) who is fiercely protective, strong yet vulnerable. Then we have the beautiful but arrogant vampire (Oliver Bleu) who is fading fast and loosing strength yet still looks classically handsome.

Bleu

Blacque lives a bit of a lonely life. He hides his sexuality from the pack and his family as well as from himself to a degree. His mechanic shop is next door to Bleu’s interior restorations shop and unbeknownst to both they are equally in the grips of an attraction to each other. Though neither realise the depth of this desire, rather they explain it to themselves as a need for sustenance and other “nocturnal activities”.

Their story takes place in the town of Arcada which hides a secret from outsiders as well as its own inhabitants. It harbours all things mystical and magical living alongside humans under accepted rules to maintain peace and understanding.

Blacque is thrown into an uncomfortable situation by his Father, the alpha leader of the pack. He is basically told to reproduce to maintain their blood line which for obvious reasons doesn’t sit well with Blacque due to his sexuality. It is after this meeting he is thrown into the path of Bleu who is both hungry and intensely attracted to Blacque.

This is where their journey begins and it is one hell of a journey.  It has so much emotion and passion, suspense and action…the Author’s brilliant addictive writing combines the best of both genres in my opinion!

I loved both Blacque and Bleu. If you asked me to choose one I’d say both without hesitation, I mean one’s a wolf and one’s a vampire…how can you choose right? They were both extremely deep characters, both had seen and been through tragedy in their life, both needed what the other could provide. They faced so many obstacles and it all comes to a head where the fierceness of them had the hairs rise on the back of my neck.

I inhaled every word in this story, completely swept along on their emotional journey. It brings mystery of the supernatural kind, suspense and sweet and sexy moments to the reader. LOVED IT!

My only complaint is the abrupt end. Yes everything was tied up, but for all the drama, suffering and uncertainty I just wanted more of the ‘happy together Blacque and Bleu’. I know there is another story in this series sitting on my kindle so I hope they make an appearance in it so I can see how they are doing….fingers crossed!!
