Jenny:  Okay guys, where to start with Hers.  First off, readers should check out the synopsis and the warning….this does contain all sorts of sex situations and ummm yeah, it certainly was HOT.  In fact it was pure entertaining filth.  Levi was bloody gorgeous, Seven was kick arse and.….I was completely addicted and I felt kind of perverse reading some scenes and although I had a few issues with the storyline I couldn’t put this bad boy down! What about you two?

Gitte: GAH! Where do I start? My head was all over the place reading Hers. It was filthy, no question. But it was hot filth. Whether it was the scenes between Levi and Seven or between Seven and Star or….yeah there’s more hahahaha….Seriously, it’s sit in the freezer moments aplenty. No question. I loved Seven, she kicked arse and had the mouth of a sailor. Levi was bloody amazing. As for the story, hmmm I’m on the fence on that one as many things were left unexplained and the story tried to take a different direction at the end.

So MB, what did you think?

Malebox: It was your everyday story of boy meets girl, who then does him up the ass with a strap on and then love blossoms. If only life was this simple and uncomplicated, maybe each and every one of us could find that special someone in our lives. Maybe one day I will meet my Seven.

Jenny:  Hmmmm not sure what sort of romance books you’ve been reading MB. We hope you get to meet your Seven, though be sure to have some lube on hand! So let’s talk about our heroine Seven.  I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone quite like her! I kind of fell for her…hard! I loved her…gutter mouth, kinks, hang-ups and all.  This girl was a bit of a straight shooter, she’s got a lot of baggage and although she showed her vulnerability at times, she was one tough cookie and very..ummm..Adventurous.

“But do not mistake my kindness for weakness, because we all know I am the one in charge here. In the boardroom, and in the bedroom……” – Seven

Gitte: I LOVED Seven, guys…like proper fan girl loved. She was tough, intelligent, a bad arse with a mouth that’d stun even the hardest fishwife. The Bath & Beauty shop would not be able to keep up the demand of soap this girl would need to wash her mouth out. But then again, that was actually one of the reasons I loved her. She said it as is and didn’t put up with any crap nor did she suffer fools gladly. She’s not had an easy life so far, people have let her down, she’s felt unloved and insignificant growing up hence her desire and need to take charge, to put her foot down and make her mark. She guards her heart and her defences are as thick as the Great Wall of China. Her interpretation of love is skewered and lust and sexual prowess/domination is put in its place.

How did you feel about Seven, MB?

Malebox: Seven was quite unique in the sense that she was a no nonsense girl who was freaky naughty at the same time. Yes she had some issues, but what woman doesn’t. I can hear the female scowls across the world as I write this. She’s every man’s fantasy girl, rich, beautiful, part time lesbian and dominatrix. Imagine Sigourney Weaver from working girl, but only way more attractive and into other women.

Jenny:  Great visual MB. Now Levi!! We’re dying to hear your thoughts on him Malebox because G and I bloody LOVED this guy.

“But when I’m with you, I can’t think of another woman. When I’ not with you, I crave everything about you.” Levi

He was hot, kinky, had a heart of gold and was *cough, cough*VERY WELL endowed and we couldn’t get enough of him..  I think I was hypnotised by that beast of his. Wow! Seven painted us such a visual of that!

“His words send a shock through my body. This man has kink that’s for sure, and I fucking love it.” -Seven

Gitte: Yeah we bloody loved him didn’t we? Levi was LUSH. What a bloke…he was gorgeous, definitely liked his very own brand of kink…and well….umm…hello tripod!! But not only that, he had a loving soul and a huge heart.

‘Levi is like a drug I just can’t get enough of. I want to overdose on him until I fall into a sex-induced coma, only coming back to life once he is fully out of my system, and I am once again safe.’ – Seven

Malebox:  Levi was ok, he came across a bit of a wet lettuce to me at times. I can understand falling for Seven, as all of us men would, but I wouldn’t fall with my ass against her large strap on. He seemed to fall in love with her straight away and willing to do all sorts of things to gain her love. I get this I really do, but us men have limits. I would have liked to have known what and where this kink in Levi came from. What I found slightly even stranger was that Seven didn’t ask. When they get to the “lets share stuff” stage, my first question would’ve been “dude, why did you let me do that?”

J&G:  Levi! A wet lettuce?  We have to disagree there MB, though you do have a point about wanting to know where his brand of kink came from.
So Malebox, us girls always review and share our thoughts but we’re interested to hear your thoughts, a male perspective if you like, on what you would do in this situation. Would you go for it or run for the hills here or take it like a man like Levi?

1)      “First, protection. Condoms are a must. I don’t care how clean you are, or how clean you insist you are.” 

2)      “Two. If you are afraid of strap-ons, walk away now.”

3)      “Third. This is a one time, no strings attached kind of thing. What goes on behind those doors is private… Last. When we are done with you tonight, you leave. No questions asked…” 

Malebox:

      1) Always practice safe sex boys and girls, this rule is golden, just like that shower I had the other week. I’m joking….or am I?

  2) I’m not opposed to strap-ons, but there must be some discussion beforehand, and a large dose of lube. Imagine you ladies, if your men walked into the bedroom with a prosthetic cock and said “look what I have for you”. It would go down like a turd at party

      3) I get this as I’m a guy and this is what we think at first anyway. We don’t go into a one night stand thinking” I must get her number so that I can call her first thing tomorrow” or “please I just hope this is going somewhere”. This is what a one night stand is isn’t it? Get in and get out .

Again, this is what a one night stand is. I have no problem with that, a little snack, maybe  a sandwich or quarter pounder with cheese on the way home, this is a good night.  As long as everyone knows the rules and agrees, what is the problem with it?

Jenny:  Wow! You have it all sussed out MB!  So yeah…..last thoughts on this one.  For me, I know I couldn’t put it down, I know I have a crush on Seven and I loved Levi. There were a few editing issues and I’m still unsure about a few things in regards to the storyline. It was sort of cliché and did change tack but it certainly entertained me and yeah….it was HOT and I read it in one sitting!

The sex scenes were something else that’s for sure.  Last thoughts guys?

Gitte: Hmm…well I loved the refreshing female character of Seven and Levi was a pretty hot yet loving character in so many ways. Oh and the nookie sure was of the ‘sit in freezer’ variety. However, as I mentioned earlier I’m still on the fence due to the lack of storyline development and the editing issues. Despite this, though, I couldn’t put it down and that’s one of the reasons I enjoyed it as much as I did, because it truly was an addictive (and surprising) read!!

Freezer moments for you too MB?

Malebox: I can’t say that I had any freezer moments, I did go the refrigerator and take out some beers and cold pizza as I read it. Does this count? I enjoyed the book as the characters in the book were unique and there was lots of sex in it. This is definitely a woman’s book though and would probably not appeal to the general male population.

J&G:  No MB, beer and pizza moments don’t count but thanks for your input.  We’re glad we discussed Hers with you in that three way (no…not that sort of 3 way…the PM kind of three way!) and you decided to take the plunge to read and review with us, it’s been fun!
