Gitte: So there’s no question, every time Tessa Bailey comes out with a book I know I’m going to love it before I even read that first page. Yes, that’s how much complete faith I have in this lady and how sure I am that I’ll fall in love with her characters. I know she’ll make me swoon, clench, and lust after her male hero. I know I’ll sympathise, connect and love her strong yet vulnerable; sassy and sometimes quirky heroine. The story, well the story I’ll love because this Author manages to achieve in few words exactly what was intended. To make the reader feel, fall in love, laugh, swoon and most of all she takes the reader away to that happy place where pure indulgence can be devoured. Seriously this lady excels at that satisfying filthy talking passionate quickie we all sometimes need, pun totally intended!!

This series is HOT, it has humour, lots of dirty talking and fantastic characters that all seem one way on appearance yet all have such depth and a heart that just wants to be loved, wanting to find its soul mate.

Asking for Trouble is another blindingly brilliant addition to this series and it’s one that can be re-read and enjoyed over and over, the dialogue is flawless, the pacing of story and character development spot on.

‘Since the night they met, the two of them had mixed about as well as orange juice and toothpaste. He rigged explosives for the NYPD Emergency Service Unit. She flitted about all day organizing charity functions and dinner parties for Manhattan’s elite..’

You loved it to didn’t you Jenny?!

Jenny: I certainly did G!! What’s not to love about a Tessa Bailey smoking hot dirty talking alpha cop book? This author is fast becoming one of my favourite authors because like you, I know I’m going to enjoy whatever she brings to the table. Well, 4 out of 4 books we’ve enjoyed so far so the odds are in our enjoyment favour I’d say!!

The Line of Duty books always seem to pop up after we’ve just come off a pretty heavy emotional read we relish every morsel of them. Asking For Trouble was a knicker changing, heat inducing read that had me escaping into the naughty world of the Line of Duty cops and dear lord did Brent deliver the goods or what…..”You need a good tongue-fucking, duchess.” – Lucky bloody Duchess I say!! Sign me up!

Brent was certainly one of our favourite naughty talkers and we were highlighting his filth like crazy! In fact I think we pretty much highlighted the same quotes G! 😉 I really did love this story. This one Asking for Trouble had enough emotion to keep my heart in check and the connection and chemistry between Hayden and Brent kept my pulse racing!

Gitte: So, do you fancy a bit of passionate hot kink with handcuffs? A sweet, strong and genuine heroine who suffers from preconceived social stereotyping perception? Fancy a LUSH ‘blower-up of shit’ protective and sensitive hero with a wicked sarcastic sense of humour

Oh and a penchant for dirty talk well….Brent’s your man.

“If you have any doubt about my ability to fuck the ever-loving sarcasm right out of you, I’ll be happy to clear it up.”

This guy is a perfectly written alpha kick arse hero who has a heart of pure gold and a singing voice that rivals Bette Midler, yeah I was so caught up in their story that these characters became real and I heard them in my head!

‘This Hayden, the one making dorky-sweet puns that called to his inner goofball, was beginning to feel real to him and he couldn’t allow that to happen. Tonight couldn’t lead anywhere…’

Bloody brilliant Tessa Bailey, once again you delivered, as if there was ever any doubt, and you nailed it lady!!!

“You are an enormous dick.”

“Correction. I have an enormous—–“

Bring on the next instalment!!! We can’t wait….right Jenny?!

Jenny: I’m always ready for these books G and will 1click at every opportunity. Oh dear god….he sings too!! This extremely hot, dirty talking alpha mountain of a man was written to perfection. Bossy without being a dick, dirty without making you cringe….yep, Tessa Bailey nailed it alright and I loved every minute. Not to mention that this man certainly knows how to pleasure a woman!!

“Next time you need me, wake me up.” “You don’t spend a minute unsatisfied in my bed. Understand?” – Brent

Oh okay Brent, if you insist!! If I was Hayden I’d be sleeping with a bucket of ice cubes next to the bed!!!

Hayden with her sarky wit was more than a match for our straight shooting Brent and was an absolute delight. I loved her sassiness and I relished watching the woman beneath the glossy exterior come into her own as she discovered herself and the sensuality she kept hidden. The banter between these two was so much fun, the cheekiness of the pair was uplifting and they won me over completely.

Asking for Trouble was another fun, seductive and very satisfying addition to a series we love!

Synopsis

Pretending to be in love has never felt so sexy.
