ARCHER’S VOICE (The Signs of Love – Saggitarius) by Mia Sheridan
2 February, 2014

Our Review
Gitte: Mia Sheridan is a fabulous Author who without fail brings heart-felt emotion, brilliant writing and strong characters to her readers every single time you open one of her stories. As you read, your heart envelops the characters and you get swept up in their journey. Archer’s Voice was a beautiful and very moving story that depicts just how fantastic this Author is.
‘The loudest words are the ones we live.’
I loved Archer and my heart hurt reading his story; however it also rejoiced in the inspiration, hope and love that was ‘Archer’s Voice’. For me, Archer stood out and was the reason why this story was so mesmerizing; added to that, the brilliant writing and a good story and this made Archer’s Voice a must read for any passionate readers out there. Jenny, I know you loved Archer’s story too and we had some tears through this one didn’t we?
‘Archer had lived a life so devoid of human kindness, of touch and attention. It had to be overwhelming for him…’ – Bree

Jenny: There were plenty of swooning and tears happening in Archer’s Voice G that’s for sure and yes! I absolutely loved this story. Mia Sheridan is author who can do no wrong in my eyes. I’ve loved everything she’s created so far and with Archer’s Voice she completely won my heart. What a beautifully told story this was. It had everything I could wish for in a romance story that’s for sure.
‘We communicated a thousand words, without a single one being spoken.’-Bree
This was one for the heart…..I know my heart was breaking, soaring, beating and I think it may have actually stopped once!! The characters feel so real as if the author had placed little bits of real life on those pages.
“I want to be able to love you more than I fear losing you, and I don’t know how. Teach me, Bree. Please teach me. Don’t let me destroy this.” – Archer
We witnessed how love and perseverance can overcome prejudices and misjudgment and how having that one person to believe in you enough can in turn make you believe in yourself. A truly inspiring and poignant message which showed us how the heart can speak louder than any words possibly could.

Gitte: Archer was a wonderful hero. One of the reasons he stands out for me is that there aren’t many written like him. He’s an alpha character without all the extreme bravado; rather he’s written with a sensitivity and vulnerability which completely brought me to my knees. However, not only that, he’s fascinating and compassionate. He’s a hero in the true sense of the word and the passion, sensuality and power of him is intense and awe inspiring. I fell in love. No question. This man has been through hell in his childhood and dragged back to a ‘world’ that shuns him and in which he cannot be ‘heard’ through no fault of his own.
‘I was a freak. I was out here alone and isolated for a reason – I was to blame for so much tragedy, so much pain. I was worthless.’ – Archer
So many times whilst reading, my heart was in my throat and tears blurred my eyes, making me unable to continue without a break. Archer was utterly alone as a consequence of jealousy, manipulation, ignorance and hate. That is until Bree found him and saw the man behind the gossip and horridly perceived reputation. Bree was his savor of sorts wasn’t she Jenny?
“I didn’t know enough to dream you, Bree, but somehow you came true anyway.” – Archer

Jenny: She sure was! Bree Prescott had run from her previous life after a tragic episode that left her bereft, confused and full of guilt. Little did she know, the place she chose to visit, the lakeside town of Pelion would change not only hers, but Archer’s Hales life forever.
‘This sweet, smart, gentle man thought so little of himself..’-Bree
Upon meeting Archer, Bree felt a pull and a connection unlike any other. This big strong, handsome man intrigued her and despite Archer not being very welcoming at first, Bree persevered to get to know Archer as she felt this lonely man needed a friend. Bree reached out reached out to him and offered him a lifeline of sorts, a chance to communicate.
‘It suddenly occurred to me that Archer Hale had taught himself an entire language, but hadn’t a single person to talk to. Until me.’ – Bree
No one had ever tried or cared enough to see inside the heart of Archer Hale until Bree came along and her utter conviction in Archer was commendable and moving and it was this conviction that would eventually have Archer seeing the man he was and could be. Doing simple things with Archer would light up Bree’s day and his mere presence was a gift she treasured.
“They don’t know who you are, Archer. They have no idea. And they don’t deserve to know. Don’t let their judgement hurt you.” – Bree
Bree led Archer on a journey of self-realization and showed him that his disability was in fact a strength and having someone like Bree believe him, Archer, in turn, came to believe in himself. To Bree, Archer was her safety net, her home, her forever, together they showed how love can heal and conquer and their story had me grinning, swooning and crying my eyes out.

J&G: Mia Sheridan has become an immediate 1click author for us. This lady never fails to create beautiful, emotional and heart melting stories that always move us and Archer’s Voice certainly was no exception.
Archer and Bree’s love never felt rushed and the relationship between them was allowed to develop in its own time, giving the reader a chance to experience the friends to lover’s romance from inception. Thus affording us the opportunity to fully connect with Bree and Archer and in turn feel their love as it developed into a sweet and sensual meeting of hearts which conveyed to us the beauty of love, healing, understanding and acceptance.
‘Sometimes an understanding silence was better than a bunch of meaningless words.’ – Bree
Archer’s voice is told mostly through Bree’s eyes with intermittent pov’s from Archer and it is through flashbacks from Archer where his tragic past unfolds. These scenes were gut wrenching and left us a sobbing mess.
“What are your dreams, Archer?”
I didn’t know enough to dream you, Bree, but somehow you came true anyway. How did that happen? You read my mind and knew exactly what I wanted, even when I didn’t? “ –Archer
“I feel the same way. You’re my dream too, Archer. Just as you are.” – Bree
The secondary characters added much to this story and we have to say, as much as we despised him at times, we would love to see a story on Travis Hale. There is much we’d love explored about this character, so if you’re listening Mia…….a Travis story…we’re just saying J
If you’re looking for a beautiful, sweet, sensual and moving romance that will sweep you off your feet, then we absolutely recommend picking up Archer’s Voice. Mia Sheridan certainly swept us off ours that’s for sure!
