J&G: 4.5 Sizzling stars! 

“You were my fire Collin. I lost the desire to play with it when you left.”

Jenny:  Wow! What a steamy read Gitte? Tara Sivec is such a fantastic and versatile author who never fails to surprise us with what she has in store but WOW! I don’t think I was quite prepared for the HEAT level in this book! And will you ever look gym equipment in the same light? HOT!

I really liked Finnley. She seemed such a together girl and I couldn’t for the life of me fathom why she spent so long with Jordan because that guy did not possess one redeeming quality. Collin was the boy who broke her heart in High School and for Collin; Finnley was the one that got away.

“Lee, you’ve always known me. You’re the only who ever really has.”

Years later and Collin is now a smoking hot, dirty talking, sex on legs firefighter – I needed him to come and extinguish my Kindle a time or two! Oh lordy!  Finnley and Collin meet up and find they have sexual chemistry in abundance with Collin awakening a sexual desire and confidence in Finnley that had lain dormant for years! The pages didn’t just sizzle, they ignited!

I thoroughly enjoyed Burned, I loved the characters and I couldn’t put it down! Tara Sivec’s first foray into Romance Erotica certainly delivered with the right amount of drama and heat, and I want more! There was one small issue for me and it was in regards to Collin. I would have liked to have know more about and felt as though I needed to gleam some sort of an insight into what made Collin tick, and specifically what he had been up to for the last 17 years. There was a point when it seemed as though he was going to open up and explain his past to Finnley but unfortunately nothing eventuated. Having said that it didn’t diminish my feelings for him in any way. I loved him and I loved this book!!

Gitte: Firstly, I agree lock stock and smoking bass pounding speaker; Tara Sivec can write anything. Oh and do it well, I might add! This was a fire cracker of a story with heat, passion and drama. No question, the gym nookie scene is one of the hottest I’ve ever read, Jenny and I just couldn’t resist. I had to stick on some Nine Inch Nails and went to sit on the washing machine at full spin and re-read that scene. Hmm okay two of those are true one is not….

‘The look in Collin’s eyes as he continues to turn up the bass tells me he is definitely going to fuck me like an animal right now. And he’ll make me love every dirty minute of it.’

Tara wrote two fantastic characters in Collin and Finnley, I thought. They were mature, no nonsense and extremely lovable characters. There was no unnecessary angst – the drama was well written and thrilling. Actually, I have to say I think Tara Sivec is a fantastic Author; her writing is flawless and I always find myself sat reading losing all sense of time or even place which whilst reading Burned you might want to bear in mind. I’m talking internal combustion which may occur at the least opportune time.

“You make me feel alive for the first time in years and that scares the hell out of me.”

My only niggle which I have to agree with you Jenny, is that there wasn’t enough back story on Collin to fully understand how he ended up where we found him and what he’d been through in the missing seventeen years. The focus seemed mainly on Finnley which despite having Collin’s POV became more dominant. This was the only issue I had really. Yes it was a fabulously scorching story but I needed more  from the missing years. Overall though, I really loved it and want more of where this came from!

J&G:  This erotic romance told of second chance love, of finding that spark to your flame, seeking the person who ignites a heat in you not only physically but emotionally. If you like your romance with plenty of HEAT then be sure to grab this one! Warning: Sit by the freezer when reading!
