“This is one fucked up fairy tale.”

Gitte: So it finally came….the third and final instalment in the Breach series by K.I. Lynn.  We talked about how to approach this review didn’t we Jenny, fearing that as this is book #3 we didn’t want to spoil anything for new readers. So, we decided not to talk about the story at all as readers have to read this series in order with NO spoilers!

Being back with our beloved wild Nathan and timid Lila was quite a different experience considering everything they’ve been through and how things are slowly changing.

“My life just isn’t the same without you ramming me against the office wall and threatening me with your manhood when our office peers have their backs turned.” – Lila

They still solve the world’s problems as well as their own with high intensity and filthy talking nookie. They still have an inability to cope without the touch of the other, yet things are much calmer in many respects through the majority of the book.

‘He was damaged but so was I, and together we were one soul, one heart.’

Yeah sure, the Marconi threat is still there but Nathan and Lila are trying to settle down to the best of their individual capabilities and under the somewhat black cloud hovering in the background. Also, they are trying to set Lila’s world to rights and close a heart-breaking chapter in her life.

Jenny: That very top quote pretty much sums up the Breach series for me. It’s been a pretty fucked up journey and one that has had me shaking my head as many times as it has had me ferociously turning the pages.  Lila and Nate’s journey has certainly been one hell of a ride and yes, we do want to ensure we don’t spill any beans on this one because readers really do need to experience every messed up, addictive minute as the story unfolds through the series.

‘I loved Lila, and I never wanted to be without her. With her, I was reborn.’

It seems so long ago that we first ventured on the Lila and Nathan ride and the raw intensity of the story and the characters has been something else. For Lila and Nathan, sex is their fundamental way of connecting, communicating and expressing their wants, desires and fears, it’s a meeting of two people on a very primal level and as necessary as breathing Lila and Nathan need to breath A LOT! All the time! Constantly.

“I’m going to spend all night devouring you, inch by delicious inch.”
“How about moving a little faster then.”

This conclusion was a slow build up and I was beginning to worry we weren’t going to receive the answers we so desperately craved, but we did and I was satisfied with the end result.

Gitte: What can I say, Jenny I loved being back with these fucked up characters; Nathan one of the first filthy mouthed arseholes we fell in love with…..

‘Then I did what I always did when she was upset – I lavished her body with mine, showing her my love through touch.’

And Lila the emotionally damaged but totally lovable girl who really comes into her own now.

‘Fuck, she was naughty. I fucking loved it.’

I did find that it dragged in parts, however, once it got going and we had less nookie and more story, I really enjoyed it! Seriously, I’d forgotten how Nathan loves his filthy arsed gutter talk, Jenny, hadn’t you?

Jenny:  I have to say I did forget just how filthy his mouth was! As I’ve said before…..there’s dirty talkers and then there’s Nathan Thorne. Nate is in a dirty talking class all of his own.

“You’ve had me worked up since yesterday. I want to ram my cock in you and fuck you until we’re both unconscious.”

I agree with you about the story dragging at times and the copious amounts of bonking was beginning to override the story, but once the story took shape I became completely invested. Lila and Nathan have evolved through the series and KI Lynn always left us eagerly anticipating what was to come next. A fabulous series that enthralled us from beginning to end!

This isn’t one for the faint hearted or easily offended, but if you want something gritty, a story that makes no apologies, then The Breach series is for you!
