G&J: As far as serial’s go this was one of the better ones. We enjoyed it enough to get invested in continuing with this series. It was sexy, very funny and had a great hero through the majority of the story.

So yeah, as far as heroes goes…well our man whore hot shot British tennis player; playboy Ryder is just too lovable to hate. He’s a cock, an arse and a complete man slut. In real life we’d hate him; in fiction we love him.

“You’re a fucking laughing stock. I mean, who the fuck breaks their ass?”

Arrogance here is spelt RYDER STEVENS and he knows it but doesn’t give a toss…..until a wee lad in the States sends him a letter that brings it all home. Whilst Ryder is recovering from what had us in fits of laughter….a broken arse, he receives an eye opener of a fan letter or ex-fan letter really. This letter spirals a road of self-discovery and change which has Ryder suddenly facing up to who he is and what he wants. Enter the woman who has Ryder do a complete personality change in what seemed almost overnight.

“I’m just a guy trying to sell something she obviously doesn’t want.” – Ryder

Now, we really enjoyed how this story was playing out; we got a great insight into Ryder and his shenanigans and yes we agree that this is a serial so therefore a shortie. However, we felt he changed to quickly to be fully believable. If this change had progressed over a longer timeframe it would have been brilliant! The heroine, Scarlett was great also, to begin with, but she too started behaving in a manner that was strange, annoying and unbelievable under the circumstances she found herself in and the why’s of it.

The ending was very enticing though and we definitely look forward to finding out exactly what’s going to happen next. We just hope Ryder hasn’t lost what made him so bloody funny and cheeky before we’ve even completely begun!
