When Seth, the younger son of the Don is kidnapped, it’s Domenico who is sent to get him back. The man he finds though, is not the boy he knew all those years ago. Lazy, annoying, spoiled, and as hot as a Sicilian summer.
Seth Villani wants nothing to do with the mafia. Unfortunately, he doesn’t get a say when the Family pulls him right back into its fold after his mother’s death. Thrown into a den of serpents otherwise known as the Villani Family, Seth has to find a way to navigate in the maze of lies. But when Domenico Acerbi, the most vicious snake of them all, sinks his fangs into Seth, the venom changes into an aphrodisiac that courses through Seth’s veins.
Domenico knows his life is about to change when he gets the order to train Seth up to the role of future Don. Seth isn’t made for it. He isn’t even made. But a man Domenico knows he would never have to fear might just be someone he’s always needed.
If Seth is doomed to follow in his father’s footsteps, he might as well enjoy himself–with the most intoxicating man he’s ever met. Maybe he can even fool himself into believing that Domenico isn’t a handsome sociopath who kills for a living.

‘It was like watching a panther…beautiful, attentive, and deadly.’
We started this book with some trepidation. The warning in itself at the beginning of the book was both enticing and kind of freaked us out a little. Wow…what a ride we had with Seth and Dom. Not necessarily as dark, violent or gritty as we’d thought but we really loved this one.
“Live like there’s no tomorrow, because there might as well be none.”
The development of the characters and story is what made us enjoy Guns N Boys. We fell in love with Seth and Dom; both very different – almost night and day. However, we have a feeling this is merely a scratch on their personalities and when push come to shove they both have a bit of both characteristics in them and will shine in their own right turning the tables on the reader when least expected.

Where Dom came off as the enigmatic and violent silent killer; Seth had a cheeky school boy quality with an innocent goofiness mixed in. Now, whether this is a smoke screen for a personality trait yet to surface, who knows? We sure fell in love with this big passionate mafia man with a conscience.
“You try it once and you’re doomed.”
Dom intrigued us; how could he not. So damn sexy and aloof; yet a soft side appeared every so often when it came to the man he is meant to protect. We know that something awful has had to have happened to this stoic man to make him the man he is today.
“This is going to be a fucking nightmare.”
On a side note; the passion and heat in this story is beyond measure and had us fanning ourselves with our kindles. There’s nothing dainty, pretty nor lie back and think of England when these guys get it on. Theirs is pure animalistic passion!

There were quite a few twists and shocks along the way and we have a feeling book #1 has set us up for something pretty bloody (pun intended) special and we can’t wait to get our hands on the next book. We’d love more on these two gorgeous Mafioso’s childhood and find out just what is the deal with the decision to make Seth the next Don? Oh and for fellow lovers of the Dark Soul series by Aleksandr Voinov….are you in for a treat. We went crazy when we came upon this special surprise!

Smoking is bad for you and everyone around you, there’s no doubt about that, but if so, is there a more suitable addiction of choice for a professional killer? Nicotine has stimulating effects – it increases focus and alertness, and arousal, yet also reduces pain and can help the user relax. Frequent smokers subconsciously take their tobacco in a way that helps them achieve the desired effect. What’s more perfect when quietly waiting for your mark to show up than keep yourself busy with a smoke?
In popular culture, cigarettes are usually associated with people who in one way or another are on the fringe of society. Examples that come to my mind are the Marlene Dietrich, the femme fatale, Marlon Brando, casually smoking in ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’, James Dean, Clint Eastwood. Images of people with a devil-may-care attitude.
When I first created Domenico, I immediately imagined him as this elegant man in a sleek suit and an ever-present cigarette in hand. And he smokes a lot. It’s a habit he picked up from his mentor after his life took a turn for the worse.
Smoking is also a habit that allows me to show Domenico’s state of mind. When he’s nervous, he tends to chain-smoke, burning through each without much enjoyment. Other times, when he’s relaxed, he inhales slowly, he might even play with the smoke.
Smoking characters in books. Yay or nay? Sexy as hell or unappetizing?
“Domenico gave him a slow glance, and Seth couldn’t help but follow the swirl of smoke that left those perfectly cut lips, curling around the soft flesh as if it couldn’t help itself.”

About the authors:
K.A. Merikan is a joint project of Kat and Agnes Merikan, who jokingly claim to share one mind. They finish each other’s sentences and simultaneously come up with the same ideas. Kat and Agnes enjoy writing various kinds of stories, from light-hearted romance to thrillers.
