PERFECT CHAOS (Unyielding #1) by NASHODA ROSE

G&J: Well, there’s no question; Nashoda Rose has done it again and cemented a place as one of our favourite Authors. She brings such emotion, drama, passion and twisty dark suspense in her stories that we are totally addicted. Our hearts were literally in pain as we read whilst our pulse sky rocketed every time Deck came knocking. Not only that though, the sense of humour and obvious connection between our main characters caused a fantastic banter and had us smiling and laughing. This was brilliantly placed, balancing out the sheer horror and sometimes disturbing scenes.

Also, Chaos had a fantastic heroine in Georgie; such a strong, funny and sassy heroine with a real vulnerability too.

Let’s start with Deck though…because wow! We met him in the Tear Asunder series and he’s one mysterious hard arse alpha who epitomises power and has Georgie flirting and teasing him like a woman obsessed. But then she’s loved him since sweet sixteen. The dynamics of their relationship was incredibly believable and inspiring. Nashoda Rose really writes an amazing hero. Deck has a fantastic sense of humour lurking underneath that somewhat tense and serious bad arse exterior. His sense of loyalty is inspirational and his passion, well, it’s off the charts once unleashed on our lucky lucky Georgie.

“She gave me the light to keep coming back. To crawl away from the evil I was surrounded by, the nightmares, the coldness, and she made me human again.”

Georgie is quite the hand full, with her partying, drinking and flirty ways but there’s a lot hidden behind this façade. Secrets waiting to be unravelled. Our hearts bled for this girl and Deck was perfection in bringing her back from the darkness once she let him in.

“Damn it, Georgie, I’m not throwing you away. I’m bringing you back to me.”

This is a spin off series and it’s been noted that it can be read as a standalone. We meet both Deck and Georgie in the Tear Asunder series as well as many of the other characters so our personal opinion is that we would recommend reading that series first to enhance your reading experience. It establishes a fantastic connection; an undercurrent of ongoing storyline if you will. Also; we loved that series and highly recommend it so it’s a win-win anyway!

This Author has the formula just right in our opinion. There’s no drama for the sake of it; the characters all have their own identity and purpose and the passion with which she writes is flawless. We were gripped from the onset and could not put this story down for love nor money. It played out like a movie and we were not willing to hit pause. Nashoda Rose slowly but surely builds her story at a pace that gathers momentum as you experience the highs – the lows- the strength of attraction and unfaltering protection. The love and the friendship. Just Brilliant! NOW we want more and can’t wait for Kai & London’s story – we have a feeling it’ll hurt real bad and bring us to our knees! Bring it on! We highly recommend this series for fans of Kristen Ashley; although a lot darker the characters and story will appeal for sure!
