Gee, this book was very different to what I expected. Garrett had a good mix of angst, drama, wit, emotion and heat all told against the back drop of one of my favourite romance themes….the Hockey arena. I bloody love it and can’t get enough of stories involving Hockey players who find love and Garrett didn’t disappoint! What was even better was the inclusion of the game, with the author bringing the excitement and thrills of that arena to Garrett’s story! I love the feeling of being part of the action; experiencing the game and the camaraderie of the players.

I wasn’t prepared for the heaviness of this story between our gorgeous philandering, ‘relationship phoebe’ hockey hunk, Garret, and the bohemian beauty, Olivia. The story of Olivia’s struggles with her medical issues and Garrett’s strength, devotion and loyalty to this woman held me captive. Olivia nearly copped a thwack from my Kindle at one point. I did forgive her though and understood her reasoning.

I will admit it did feel a tad insta love and a bit intense given the length of their relationship but despite this I did believed the connection between Garrett and Olivia. I am LOVING this series. I love the friendships, the blossoming relationships and the feeling of being in the thick of the Hockey action and I can’t wait for more. Yep, this series is a winner for me and I found myself another Hockey husband! Helllloo Garrett! Now bring on Zack’s story which I’m gagging for!!!
