Our Review

Oh how we fell in love with this story as well as Liam and Parker. Melissa Collins has without question cemented herself as a 1Click Author as she beautifully writes a tale full of vivid emotion, heart-break and romance. We read with smiles on our faces, our pulses racing as well as tears in our eyes. It was a passionate tale of trauma, angst, second chances, self-discovery and healing as well as a reminder that with love we can overcome anything.

‘Where I was all torn edges and dishevelled mess, he was freshly pressed flawlessness.’

Repaired has real heart as Liam and Parker are both living with their own demons and trying to find their way in life living with a past nestled on their shoulders. Opposites attract as the saying goes, however, yes the materialistic – the lifestyle may be different but inside the shell lives two equally beautiful and hurting hearts looking for something or someone to find them. Two hearts looking to heal and realise their true desires and dreams. Two hearts not only trying to find themselves but the one that completes them.

‘My exact opposite in pretty much every way possible, Parker was the epitome of my darkest desires. And he was standing right here, so close yet somehow so unreachable.’

Nothing is easy in life or in love as Parker and Liam both independently realise – nothing is smooth sailing or a given. It’s okay to ask for help, it’s okay to cry and it’s okay to love, forgive and accept. With the support of love stepping out from living in the shadows of pain and hiding needn’t be overwhelmingly impossible.

‘..it was as if I found a piece of myself I’d always been looking for, or, to be more accurate, it was as if I found a part of myself I used to possess, but had somehow lost a long time ago.’

We highly recommend Repaired; so beautifully written and encompassing everything we love to find in books; what we love to feel in books.

‘We’d never know how our past would affect our future. We’d never know how today would tumble on into tomorrow. All we could ever do is hold on tight and have faith that somehow it would all work out the way it’s supposed to.’

Synopsis

Liam Davis is a man without a past. That’s what he wants everyone to believe, anyway. Hell-bent on erasing any memories of his previous life, he knows that starting over is all he can do. Hiding who he is, where he’s from, why he’s running, and especially who he’s left behind, Liam has run away from everything he’s ever known. His plan works perfectly until one day when Parker Ryan threatens to expose his carefully concealed world.

Parker Ryan is a man without a future. Sure, he’s a partner in one of New York’s most prestigious law firms, but he’ll never be more than a failure in the eyes of his boss, his father. Rather than break away from his father’s standards, he finds himself mindlessly pursuing them, in turn sacrificing anything that would actually make him happy.

When Liam’s and Parker’s lives collide, the ugly truth about who they really are, and who they hope to become reveals itself when they least expect it. As both of their lives become wrecked beyond all belief, they’ll learn how to rely on each other in their journey to become Repaired.
