REAP : SCARRED SOULS #2 by TILLIE COLE

Tillie Cole needs to write ordinary book soon or we’re going to run out of accolades to bestow on this phenomenally talented author however if Reap is anything to go by, we can’t see that happening any time soon because Reap delivered everything we had hoped for in this series. What a powerfully moving story this was.

“Love?” he asked. His green eyes searched mine as if he could find the answer in their depths.

We constantly find ourselves asking…‘is there nothing this woman can’t do?’ There are times when it’s difficult to reconcile Tillie Cole to the author we first discovered when we read, laughed and loved Eternally North, but it seems no matter how different her story, how much she evolves as an author or how many times she steps out of her comfort zone, Tillie always manages to stamp her unique flair and extraordinary talent on her stories….her ‘Tillie’isms ‘ leave us in no doubt that we’re completely captivated by her exceptional ability to tell a bloody remarkable story.

‘Two tears fell over his cheeks and trickled down his olive skin, then down onto my chest, rolling over his identity ink. My heart constricted at this devastating sight, then completely shattered when he sucked in a stuttered breath and asked, “I….I am truly free?”

No matter if she’s making us laugh, cringe, gasp, sob, wince or swoon…..Tillie Cole utterly bewitches us with her words and in Reap, Tillie has once again delivered a thought provoking and heartbreaking story, told with raw passion and unrestrained emotions that left us reeling at times as two people, desperately in love, are caught in the crossfire of the Kostava and Tostaia grudge that threatens to tear them apart. It’s a story that reached into our hearts and never let go.
