Wicked Heart is one of those swoon worthy romances that makes your heart melt into a puddle unable to look away as you race to the finish line because you just can’t bear it not to know. We meet Elissa and Liam at a stage in their lives where their life is yet to be on the path they’re going to follow.

“I’m not saying goodbye,” he says, as he shoves his hands in his pockets. “Because this isn’t over.

One day, fate’s going to fix this. Bring us back together. I believe that.”

The romance of their meeting was beautiful, sweet and funny. The intensity palpable. We enjoyed every second of it and to experience that gave away to understanding and completely feeling the array of emotions upon their meeting again after six years apart. You could’ve cut the tension in the room with a knife.

“I need to stop wanting a man I know very well I’ll never have.”

We have to say that Leisa Rayven pulled every emotion out of us from her evocative and easy-to-read writing – which is a good thing. Nothing was superfluous. We were completely immersed in this love story. So much passion and an insanely strong attraction- we connected completely with Lissa and Liam.  Falling in love with both as each were strong, relatable and genuinely great characters.

“Love is an asshole. It doesn’t care about people’s plans. It’s never convenient. It crawls inside of you at the most ridiculous times and makes you feel, whether you like it or not. And even long after the time when you should have learned to stop loving someone, it just keeps holding on to them. Doesn’t it?”

Whilst we absolutely loved Wicked Hearts, we did see the crux of it coming and felt the ending was kind of rushed. With such angst- which we loved -we needed more of our hero and heroine without obstacles and interruption. Perhaps a glimpse of what they had six years ago – a brief encounter where two hearts became entwined – the now version. That being said; we laughed and we reveled in this second chance romance and definitely recommend Wicked Hearts to all readers for that funny sexy swoon we all need in our lives.
