Our Review

“When I touch you, I want you. And I feel lost.”
“You’re never lost when I’m in the world.”

What a fabulously enthralling and gripping second book in the Dangerous Royals Romance series. Each book has taken us on a suspense filled journey with Viktor’s book making us desperate for the next book as the search to fulfil their prophecy continues. We can’t get enough of this romantic, passionate, suspenseful and addictive series as Annika Martin takes us into her world with hearts pounding and fingers eagerly turning the page as the story races towards its crescendo.

‘Fighting men didn’t scare me; it was my dark past I was frightened of.’

And don’t get us started on those Dragusha brothers and the women who own their hearts!! It’s passionate, raw and all consuming, the bond and love between these brothers who will stop at nothing to be reunited keeps us riveted and urging them on!

We garnered snippets about Viktor in Aleksio’s book, Dark Mafia Prince. He was the tough quiet brooding brother who grew up in a Russian orphanage after a tragedy had taken him from his family when he was only a toddler. His story is as equally tragic as Aleksio’s and possibly even more so as Viktor carries the guilt and suffering deep in his heart for a decision that haunts him to his core.

“You see a ghost. You see this woman with your eyes, but I see her with my heart.”

Viktor was taken by the Bratva, the Russian Mafia at a young age and groomed to be an Assassin. It is there he meets Tanechka Stepanov, a woman who would completely and utterly steals his heart.  Viktor deeply loved this woman who was such a contradiction. Tanechka loved warmth and sunflowers, but could cold bloodedly kill a man without blinking an eye. She fiercely loves Viktor, he owns her heart until an act of betrayal rips them apart.

“You’re not a terrible person, you’re just a man who feels deeply. You want to be loved. To be forgiven.”

We remember Viktor, constantly watching a streaming of a live slave auction at a brother called Valhalla that is run by their sworn enemy, Bloody Lazarus. What was it that had Viktor so consumed, watching these feeds night and day, never taking his eyes off one of the women. Viktor has struggled to live with the pain of losing Tanechka and has had to live with the aftermath of his actions, of his betrayal.  Could it be her? Is Tanechka back in his life? Is she undercover or is it even really her and if so…how?

‘I know it’s her. I’ll always know moya Tanechka – my Tanechka.’

Well, you’ll have to see for yourselves how it unfolds, as Annika Martin once again crafted a deliciously engrossing story of love, loss, violence and revenge that had our pounding as we once again took a walk, or rather a high speed chase, through her gripping and exciting Mafiya world.

“Have I ever told you fucking Russians are way too fucking dramatic?”

The story of the Dragusha brothers and their quest has captured our imagination and kept us on our toes, yet beneath all the suspense, violence and mayhem lies the beautiful story of soul searing second chance love that gripped our hearts. OMG! We need the next book now! A definite recommendation of what is becoming one of our favourite Mafia romance series.

“Together the Dragusha brother will rain fire on Bloody Lazarus. And we’ll have our empire back.”
