Nashoda Rose is one of the most brilliant and vivid storytellers out there. Her attention to detail is flawless and her timelines across her two series is spot on. Her heart and love for her characters and the ever developing story lines are clearly evident and it transfers over to the reader, without question. We have been with these characters since day one and never has one been compromised nor has the story suffered, Nashoda Rose stays true to both and it was a pure joy to once more read such an amazing instalment.

We’ve been so excited yet apprehensive to start Perfect Rage; after all this is Connor’s book. If you don’t know who Connor is we urge you to start from the very beginning then make your way through the series reading order. As we knew would probably happen our hearts bled then broke into tiny shattered pieces as we travel back in time and learn of how a doomed love affair began which was instant and intense yet believable under the circumstances. Two hearts becoming one only to be torn asunder by circumstances, violence, crime and tragedy. We almost held our breaths as we willed this love to conquer all.

Connor is one of the most beautiful, fiercest, protective and tragic characters we’ve met. We cried for him as we prayed for his recovery. No man shall be left unmarked after evil. Yet through love, integrity and purity of soul comes healing. No woman can be left unscarred by tragedy yet through strength, friendship and love she will overcome and understand. Alina was wise beyond her years and stronger than she gave herself credit for. Connor and Alina’s love affair began only to be battered, tested and torn to pieces. How could the pieces ever be re-found, remembered and pieced together again? Memory is a deeply rooted part of us that can guide us and bring us hope and understanding. It brings us moments of light when everything is cloaked in darkness. If the light is gone how do we heal?

Nashoda Rose guided us through a journey of tears and joy, sacrifice and hope, friendship and loyalty. Our hearts slowly but surely knitted together again through perseverance, love and understanding. We loved being back with characters whose own journey we’d lived through as we once again felt the after-effects of utter evil and wickedness.

Once again, Nashoda Rose reaffirms her place on that pedestal we regard her to be on when it comes to her books. Her characters are full of strength, protection, passion and ultimately love. We have embraced them all, as each has left a mark on us and stay in our hearts forever.
