Burn Down the Night picks up from the end of the second book and it didn’t take us long to recapture the feelings, the characters and the events which lead up to this moment and learned a whole lot more in the process!

This instalment can be read as a complete standalone however, to garner an overall feel of events leading up to this book, we’d probably recommend checking out the first two books in this series, however the author does do a good job of getting the reader up to pitch, making it easy to follow, so it’s up to you how you if you want to pick this up as a standalone or not.

Wow! What a ride! Thrills, spills, secrets, lies, excitement, kidnapping, hot as hades sex, combusting sexual chemistry, suspense and there’s even some steamy girl on girl action! Our Kindles nearly exploded! Joan is quite the sensual bad arse that’s for sure!

After escaping the clutches of a crazed commune living drug dealer, Olivia has been using an assumed identity and spending her days planning the rescue of her sister Jennifer who she was forced to leave behind when she fled. Joan (Olivia) will stop at nothing to rescue Jennifer, and at times her impulsiveness causes her to act a little careless, making mistakes along the way. One of her bright ideas is to kidnap the President of the Skulls MC Club, and recruit him to help her get her sister back which has explosive and very sexy consequences!

Max is the hard living brother of millionaire Dylan who we met in the previous books. Max has only ever known the brotherhood of his motorcycle club but they’ve turned on him, leaving him questioning his future and what he wants and he’s consumed with a need for revenge.

There’s a smouldering chemistry between Joan and Max that ratchets up a thousand notches when, handcuffed to the bed, Joan uses her wily ways to convince him to help her. He’s not budging and neither is she, forcing each of them to get a little ‘creative’ in their coercion, and we think Joan with her girl on girl action won the toss there. What red blooded man could resist that?

Joan and Max both have chequered pasts with hardened their hearts and Joan is one bad arse with little softness, Max is pretty much the same and watching these two verbally stoush and fight the chemistry between them…..wow! It’s bloody hot! The author did a fabulous job of building the eroticism and chemistry between the two as the heat leaped off the pages!

“Don’t trust me. Don’t care about me. Don’t….even like me. And I will do the exact same for you. So when we walk away from each other……” ‘It won’t hurt.’

We were glued to our Kindles from the very first page as Max and Joan’s fight to the finish had us swept up in the intrigue, excitement and passion of their story and Fern was a revelation! What a kick arse woman to have as an Aunt!  Burn Down the Night was yet another winner from from M O’Keefe!
