‘Love was a risk. It was wild and unpredictable. You could either hold on for the ride, not knowing how it would end, or you could let go and never know the amazing you could’ve had.’
We love J. Daniels writing. Her heroes are completely swoon worthy and her heroines are adorable and full of sass. We absolutely fell in love with how this story began. A wrong number that changed lives. There’s something so romantic and hot about flirty banter and opening yourself up to a complete stranger. The bonus being that there’s an attraction and friendship before having laid eyes on the other person. LOVED that!
“Hello! Remove the dildo from your fucking mouth and fucking speak.”
“Think you might have the wrong number, Wild. I don’t normally suck on dildos after six o’clock on Tuesdays.”
Four Letter Word was quite an addictive read that pretty much had every emotion in it. It was sweet, funny, sexy and passionate. It had the right amount of drama and angst, though the insta love did irk us a bit. We completely understood that initial intense connection and attraction but what was to come romance wise in such a short space of time just seemed a tad over the top and we would’ve liked to have seen them a bit further down the line when it would’ve felt more believable. It was such a beautiful and emotional story though, we just think hearts would’ve been more guarded. But hey that’s us.
‘My world was one miserable mistake-shaping second after another, except for the breas in my misery that belonged to her. And no way was I ready to give that up. Best two and a half weeks of my life came from a girl who was never meant to give me anything. And she was giving me everything.’
Brian’s story broke our hearts. Suffering a weight of guilt from a horrific moment in time which had tragic consequences. He went to extreme lengths to make some form of amends for his actions. And when we say extreme, well…..So many other options available and that’s what he goes for?! Brian hates what he’s become because of his own doing- well we felt so sorry for the bloke and wanted to shake some sense into him. Good thing Sydney felt like we did and did just that! Oh and we have to mention that Brian is one hell of a dirty talker- this man is s.e.x.y!!!!
‘She was fucking fantastic. Passionate in her defence. Silver-tongued and ball busting.’
Sydney’s world it turned upside down which sees her fleeing to her bessie mates’ house, Tori. Best decision ever! Sometimes it takes certain events to show us that really, we’re coasting along and perfecting routine and settling for what’s become a habit. Her self-discovery of her own repressed emotions and habitual life in general is helped along by a mistaken phone call. We loved her sense of humour and her rediscovered passion for life and making the most out of it. Wild and Trouble, we fell in love with their beginnings of love.
‘Her good was better. Better than I was worth and she knew it. I knew it. Didn’t change the fact I wanted her more than I could remember wanting anything. Ever. How fucked up is that? I knew I didn’t deserve her.’
We also enjoyed the secondary characters; they added so much to the story and roused our appetites for what’s potentially coming from them, especially Stitch! So yeah, definitely recommend this one and look forward to the next book in the series.
‘Don’t get comfortable being happy. It’ll only hurt worse when it’s gone.’

HIT THE SPOT: DIRTY DEEDS BOOK TWO
SYNOPSIS
Is this love or just a game?
Tori Rivera thinks Jamie McCade is rude, arrogant, and worst of all . . . the sexiest man she’s ever laid eyes on. His reputation as a player is almost as legendary as his surfing skills. No matter how her body heats up when he’s around, she’s determined not to be another meaningless hookup.
Jamie McCade always gets what he wants. The sickest wave. The hottest women. And Tori, with her long legs and smart mouth, is definitely the hottest one. He knows Tori wants him—hell, most women do—but she won’t admit it. After months of chasing and one unforgettable kiss, it’s time for Jamie to raise the stakes.
Jamie promises that soon Tori won’t just want him in her bed, she’ll be begging for it—and he might be right. Somehow he’s found the spot in her heart that makes her open up like never before. But with all she knows about his past, can she really trust what’s happening between them? Is Jamie playing for keeps or just playing to win?
