“When I’m not with you, everything hurts.”

Made to love by new to us Author SM West is a lovely quick easy read and we read it in one swoony sitting. Low on angst and high on the romance factor we loved that the characters were mature and experienced real life issues. The writing was flawless and the story entertaining.

‘I lost sight of me. I stopped caring about my appearance, my health, my life, and my dreams.’

Olivia is a 40-something divorcee with two teenage children who’s in the process of finding herself after a long marriage of invisibility and personal sacrifice. Whilst struggling with her relationship with her daughter she’s adamant that she’s made the right decision and is enjoying her independence. Olivia is happy and settled in her new life. Well, that is until a girlie weekend and a night out at a certain restaurant changes everything. We loved Olivia’s attitude yet despaired at her hang-ups and whilst at times she frustrated us, we completely connected with her and some of her issues.

‘She’s stolen my heart and every time she leaves, she takes it with her. I need her to stop leaving. I need her to stay.’

Sam is our gorgeous celebrity chef hero. He’s younger than Olivia but has an old romantic soul, so when he sees Olivia for the first time his heart knows it’s a special moment. Sam’s adamant that he needs to know who she is and spend time with her on her brief visit despite the fact that he never socialises with his customers. We thought Sam was divine, and his back story so emotionally heart-breaking. Sam can definitely cook for us anytime, that’s for sure!

‘My tongue fills her, tasting her completely. All my want, every second of need since the last time I saw her, every minute of longing goes into our kiss.’

Sometimes love comes when you least expect it- at a time where you can’t see the woods for the trees. The heart wants what it wants despite the circumstances and those who throw obstacles in the path of that love.

If you like your sweet insta love romances with lots of heat then this is definitely one for you. We enjoyed it and will definitely be checking out any future books from this Author.

“You. I want to make love to you……….although, I think I’d rather devour you.”
