We now have a favourite Meghan Quinn book and without hesitation it’s this one. Oh how we fell in love with this wonderful romance, which had us swooning and laughing in equal measure. It was just perfection. We fell in love with all the characters and the storyline was just brilliant. It felt fresh unique and was quite simply the epitome of why we love reading romance. It was our first read of 2018 as well as our first five star read and we feel truly blessed. We also loved how it reminded us of the show we love, First Dates.

Noely wants a real and proper relationship with a future, a man who she can build a life with. She doesn’t want or need one night stands in her life; a life she’s happy with what with being a host of the Malibu Morning TV show with her best friend; who we have to say had us in tears of laughter! When Noely joins a new dating programme set in a local restaurant she has no idea what she’s in for but she sure does embrace the experience. Noely is without question our favourite heroine penned by this Author. She felt like a friend; a sassy, accident prone, extroverted girl with a great sense of comedic timing and a huge loving heart and an obsession with Tom Hanks and ‘You’ve Got Mail’.

‘But what I really want, what I truly, desperately want is romance. I want to hold my husband’s hand in a movie or when we walk to the store. I want to yell at him one minute over something stupid, then be making passionate love the next, simply because we can’t stay mad at each other. I want to be cherished, for someone to call me his own. And I want to give myself to that someone for as long as we both shall live. I want to be in love.’

Noely’s dating experience does not pass with flying colours. Not that she doesn’t fall for every single one of them but each comes with their own baggage. We fell in love with every single one of them but we did have a favourite but no we’re not going to say who it is!

Date #1 – The Suit. Enigmatic, bossy and gorgeous business man with a heart made for romance.

Date #2 – The Rebel. Sexy rogue artist biker who is all about the passionate attraction.

Date #3 – The Jock. Funny, compassionate, sexy and protective hockey star.

Three very different men who steal a part of her heart; has her wildly attracted yet something just doesn’t quite feel right -every single time- and it’s not our Noely’s doing. We won’t spoil this wonderful book for you -but what we will say- is that Meghan Quinn wrote a brilliant story with a clever concept and superb characters that we’ve taken into our hearts.

We were addicted to this book, so much so we forgot about life around us until we’d finished. Whilst we did guess where it might be going, at no stage did that hamper our enjoyment because we truly knew where our hearts belonged and we deeply cared for all the characters. What a romantic and fabulously funny and quirky journey Meghan Quinn took us on, we know this is one that can be re-read for the romance and feel good humour. Now we eagerly await the next book in this series because one of these men has been taken and we need to know what happens to the other two. Le sigh…..the romance! This is a must read!
