Latest Favourite Reads

We devoured Sin With Me by JA Huss and Johnathan McClain in one sitting. It was fast paced, dark, hot and twisted with a stellar humorous sarcasm threaded through it.  The writing was brilliant and this partnership was flawless and seemed effortless. The characters were screwed up emotionally just how we love them and the storyline packed quite the punch. Told in dual POV we absolutely fell in love with and connected to both characters; losing our hearts to Tyler immediately.

‘We are two people filled with the same world of hurt and for some reason, it makes me feel better and worse all at once and I need to know more about him. Because…because I don’t want to see myself in this stranger. I don’t want to see the pain and sadness. Whatever’s bothering him…I want to fix it.’

We’re not going to lie, we were very hesitant when we heard Jesse and Ava were getting another book; one in which Ava would suffer a memory loss that meant losing their tumultuous, passionate, intense and obsessive history. Losing their magnificent love story. We’ll admit we went back and forth on whether to read it or not but of course as soon as it landed on our kindles we dropped everything and got stuck in. This is Jesse after all, no one waits for Jesse, right? Three…two…one….zero, baby. A wonderful addition to this series fave!

‘I’m human. I’m a dad. A husband. My family is both my biggest weakness and my greatest strength. I live and breathe for them, and that will never change. Until the day I die, it will always be about them.’

Whilst The Waterfall Effect is classed as a romantic suspense, it also encompasses childhood friends to lovers (a theme we find this authors handles particularly well), forbidden love, a second chance love story and a suspenseful mystery that kept our interest piqued as we’re taken through past/present switches throughout the story to uncover what transpired seven years previous.

“It’s a good thing you came back when you did. I was beginning to run out of memories.”

Review to come. Available to purchase here Amazon US | Amazon UK
