This is a new to us Author and we’re buzzing!!! We bought Filthy Gods on release day and have been dying to jump in. We bloody loved it, what a way to tantalize new readers with a compelling preview. We’ve read many books in a similar vein but this one has completely whetted our appetite for what’s to come and we’re super excited!

‘Nathaniel’s jaw flexed as he wiped off blood from his cut cheek with the back of his hand. He stared at it for a beat, then laughed deeply, but the sound held no joy. It was the kind of laugh that promised retaliation.’

Nathaniel Radcliffe comes across as a cocky, rich and powerful arsehole, he and his mates are revered, feared and envied. Lusted after, even. Loaded, privileged and influential, the American Gods appear to be an elusive band of enigmatic bad boys. Juliette has had a tragic background but she’s risen from it determined to succeed and make a life for herself struggling to pay her way through YALE.

“This will be the only time you see me on my knees before you.”

Opposite sides of the coin – night and day, whilst they share the same lust for success, Nathaniel and Juliette have an animosity toward each other that began in the classroom, yet we all know there’s a thin line between love and hate, right.

“I am also aware of the tension between us,” he whispered, tilting his head to the side as he scanned my reddening features. “It’s destructive, to say the least. It affects my focus because you’re very, very distracting. And I don’t do distractions, sweetheart.”

You know when you think you have someone figured out then the Author throws a curveball? Yeah that. What an intense ride! Hot and heady it never let up and we couldn’t put it down. Who doesn’t love an enemies to lovers’ romance with an arrogant, intense and dominant hero and a strong sassy heroine?

‘He was a mere man, I knew that, but he and his friends were treated like gods. It didn’t help they looked like it, too. Intimidating, perfect and deadly.’

This novella had drama, angst, passion, secrets, lies and deception. It was addictive, intriguing and was something we were not expecting with captivating characters. As far as prequels go, this is one of the most comprehensive and enticing we’ve read in a long while. Brilliant evocative writing, an exciting storyline and real character depth, this is an Author we’re ready to binge read, that’s for sure. We’re so excited for the rest of the books in this series- Gabe, Arsen and James intrigued us!
