Our Review

Devney Perry writes a beautiful sweet, sexy and heartfelt story in Tattered. Her writing style is hers alone and we always recognise it as well as her passion for her characters. Less is more and this Author is a perfect example of how simplicity can outshine in its beauty. A wonderful romantic easy read that showcases character with such genuine emotions and passions without being unrealistic nor pretentious.
‘I’d spent many lonely days and nights in that building. I’d had countless nights wishing for someone to love me, endless days hoping someone would want me to be part of their family. That’s all I’d ever wished for. A family. Unconditional love.’
Thea is a gorgeous heroine with a big heart and a nurturing benevolent unassuming soul despite the inner scars she carries from a childhood spent under heart-breaking circumstances. Whilst she still carries insecurities and some anxiety from her early years, she is flourishing in a small town in Montana with her daughter, her foster brother and the woman who played a big part in changing Thea’s future.
‘Rejection wasn’t something I handled well.’
Logan has come from an affluent family and has never known what it is to struggle. However, this has had no bearing on his life and work ethic, he lives to work and finds a self-affirmation there. Whilst he has never been without he gives freely and is protective and compassionate to those around him, especially if they have his heart. We fell in love with the wonderful man Logan was.
“You don’t have any idea what you mean to me, do you?”
Tattered was romance at heart, and what a big heart it was. It was a life-story of heartbreak, overcoming misfortune and personal survival. A story of love and understanding as well as joy and hope. Whilst it also had some drama, this seemed a tad unnecessary in what was a true love story. A beautiful romance for all us hopeless romantics.

Synopsis
Thea Landry has always known her place in modern-day society. It’s somewhere just above the trash can her mother dumped her in as a newborn but below the class where much comes easy. With her tattered shoes and bargain-bin clothes, her life has never been full of glamour.
So when a rich and charismatic man takes interest, she doesn’t fool herself into thinking their encounter is anything more than a one-night stand. Months later, she’s kicking herself for not getting his phone number. Or his last name. She’s given up hope of seeing him ever again.
Until one day, years later, Logan Kendrick waltzes into her life once more and turns everything she’s built upside down. This time around, she won’t make the same mistake. She’s going to fight to keep him in her life—not for herself.
