Coming back to real life after a wonderful night in London celebrating the release of The Mister by E L James would ordinarily be like dropping from a great high, after all the excitement and nervous anticipation; a click of the fingers and we’re left with another wonderful memory. However, getting home from The Mister shenanigans and sitting down with the actual first edition paperback of The Mister in our hands knowing we still have more, lots more words to read, that melancholy low hasn’t come. The high is still there, it will stay with us. Memories are for life.

Thanks to a wonderful night made possible by the kind Arrow Publishing, in the company of brilliant fellow E L James –for want of a better word- super-fans, another wonderful memory was made on the journey we hitched a ride on back in 2011 when E L James released her first book, Fifty Shades of Grey. It became a phenomenon as the Lady behind the words gave readers something that was desperately needed and from there great friendships were made across the world to last a lifetime. Eight years later she is now bringing us along a new path as she embarks on her journey with The Mister. We gladly follow as we are and always will be #TeamErika. Bring on the new chapter in her author journey; we do not ever want to get off.

So yes, we are currently reading The Mister, and we’re loving everything about it so far. It’s another huge corker from E L James, who some may say is synonymous with Fifty Shades of Grey, however, we can without hesitation say that we are overwhelmingly in love with her new story. It feels so different, her voice has grown tremendously and the characters have stolen our hearts already. This is Maxim Trevelyan and Alessia Demachi’s story and we dare you not to get shivers when you read the prologue.

This is so exciting –we are so excited- we want to relish the words – all the words; this brand spanking new story and the classy and wonderful Author behind them. Our full review to come….
