SUGAR DADDIES by JADE WEST

We had never read a Jade West book before Sugar Daddies, yet so many readers of our blog kept telling us we absolutely had to especially if we were in the mood for those extreme, no holes barred…oops holds – slip of the finger, heat inducing stories. On and off we’d check out a synopsis or two but for one reason or another, we just never quite got there. That is until two days ago when sharing a sale for Sugar Daddies. Something just clicked this time, the synopsis appealed to us, the cover made us laugh and readers in our book club remarked how much they loved this one. So, we bought it and started it that same evening. More fool us for not picking up this Author sooner. There is no ‘gently going into’ a Jade West story by the looks of it, it was full on fairly quickly, yet this didn’t put us off, rather it was perfectly teamed with an intriguing and emotional storyline as well as great characters. We bloody loved it!

The storyline in Sugar Daddies is quite emotional and heart-breaking at times so when the nookie appears we were like…woah but woaaaaah in a good way. We haven’t got loads of experience with MMF stories so the physicalities blew our mind at times, but it never failed to have us present and in the moment if you know what we mean. It was hot, scorching hot, but at the same time, it made us blush and feel a tad dirty. If only the people around us knew what we were reading and mentally getting off on!! Actually best not go there!

And while Rick is both of those things, he’s also a dirty, kinky little freak who’s easily as brutal as me in the right conditions. It’s one of the reasons I love him. I do love them dirty.’

Rick and Carl are in a loving and settled relationship. Both are quite the characters and opposites in looks and personalities, yet more alike than they perhaps themselves realise. Where Carl comes across as strength personified, austere and aloof in nature with a wonderful sense of honesty, Rick comes across as fun, cheeky and a free spirit who wears his heart on his sleeve. However, what lies beneath is not necessarily what is portrayed on the outside and what comes across strong may, in fact, be hiding something incredibly vulnerable and vice versa.

“Love is love. Commitment is commitment. Integrity, honesty and genuine care, compassion, support…those are the things that make a worthwhile relationship, whether that’s two people, or three people or ten people.”

There is one thing missing from Rick and Carl’s lives and that is a woman who can not only hold her own but also two men at the same time…..HA! This is where Katie joins the fold, after contacting them on a Sugar Daddy website. Rick and Carl are looking for a woman to complete their perfect relationship as well as their secret ultimate dream. Katie is looking for monetary funds to complete her own much-desired dreams one of which is also two men at once. It’s a win-win really! However, not everything goes smoothly and much lube is needed….oops sorry, we went off track there for a second. The dynamics of the relationship between the two lads and Katie are brilliantly written especially when Katie’s life is thrown into turmoil and everything becomes more personal than expected. The POV’s by her and Carl are very cleverly entwined and ensured that we became completely invested emotionally.

You made the best decisions for you at the time, with the facts you had available. Now, in the future you, you may make different choices, based on new information.”

Jade West wrote the perfect balance of filthy heat and story, we were fully invested in the characters, individually as well as together. This is quite a rare feat and we applaud her for it. To combine sexy with sweet, scorching kinky heat with deep emotion and bring together three characters that you completely connect with is just brilliant. We will certainly be picking up more books by this Author and we’re chuffed to bits we finally took the leap!
