• “Robinne Lee nailed this story in every way. The emotion of both characters was spot on, the rock star feel we crave in these themes was paramount, but delivered so uniquely as this author put her own stamp, her knowledge and her awe inspiring talent on this trope. Solène and Hayes were two opposites, leading two completely different lifestyles who just seemed to fit but time would tell if Solène could live in Hayes’ chaotic world. We were drawn into a life we can only fantasise about, the reality of which is a far cry from the romantic notion we dream up.”

‘There had probably been many before me, and there would be many after, but in that moment, it was just me.’

  • ‘Love is a cage two people build around themselves….now I was trapped with Cal…’

We need a moment to collect ourselves, dry our tears and reflect on this beautifully tragic love story. To love and to be loved is a basic human need, love shouldn’t discriminate, and we wanted Cal to feel free to love without guilt or shame as we experienced such anger at a society and a faith that is so intolerant and so judgmental of a person’s love.  Love truly should be love. We will never forget this story and want to applaud the author for listening to Michael and Cal, and for telling their story with honesty, gut wrenching honesty.

  • ‘He was the same man, but his chest had been cracked open, his skin peeled back…he walked around with everyone staring at his gruesome, exposed heart, unable to help him, secretly wishing he’d go away until it healed.’

What a wonderful story teller Amy Harmon is. Every time we pick one of her books up we’re transported into a world of humanity and spiritual other worldliness. The Smallest Part embodies the true spirit of friendships, betrayal, love, self-sacrifice and loyalty. The way in which this Author writes she manages to draw our characteristics in people we are all familiar with thus creating nuances of ourselves or those we know, shining a light on a realism in fiction. Through flashbacks we experience poignant moments with Noah, Mercedes and Cora as they each navigate through childhood and teenage years into adulthood. Patterns emerge and personalities are revealed as we learn just what each of them mean to each other as well as the nature of their hearts.

  • ‘I’m tethered so tightly to him, I can feel him in my veins. He’s poison in my blood. I’m drunk on him.’

Dark, twisted, exciting and highly intelligent. This is not a romance; this is a highly messed up and grim love story under extremely deadly circumstances. Gritty, raw, ugly and psychologically thrilling; we were riveted. This duet is one where your thoughts and morals will be provoked, where at times you have to suspend belief and roll with the proverbial punches. It’s manic yet so good. It’s not for the faint of heart.

  • ‘It was the kind of magic that comes after a lifetime of searching, when you stumble upon something so perfect, you stop looking, and you say: Yes. This. I know this. I feel this. I’ve heard its footsteps echo down the hallways of my soul.’

Sometimes a book comes along that grabs your imagination by the very scruff and demands you to vividly experience, feel, see, scent and taste every single word conveyed by its Author. A story that burrows so deep into your heart that it finds a home. A story that makes you feel as if you are an integral part of events unfolding, whilst it takes you on an unforgettable journey, forever seared into your very being. A story that sings hymns of truth in an exquisite, powerful, harrowing and passionate manner.

Our Latest Weekly RoundUp

“Men like Liam feed off control. They don’t play the game with us mortals. They create the game board. Sometimes they like to flip it upside down and watch us fall.”

Wow! Double Vision was an edge of your seat gripping, cat and mouse, romantic suspense set around the Irish Mafia, with lies, deceit, passion, duplicity and a story where nothing…and we mean nothing is as it seems. Our minds were working overtime trying to anticipate how Liam and Eden’s story was going to end. And yet nothing prepared us for the ride we were embarking on! Another fabulous read from an author who has rapidly catapulted herself to the top of our TBB fave author list!
